This property is part of a development of four contemporary and individually designed houses, located on Onchan headland, each of which are of substantial size, specification, and design with particular regard to the unique characteristics of the site.

The house has been designed using a pallet of naturally occurring, local, and environmentally sustainable materials such as;
- Manx stone which forms a solid 'base' to the house, hence serving to 'visually anchor' the apparently lighter construction into the cliff side.
- Treated timber from sustainable sources, such as Larch or Cedar, both of which are suitable for exposed coastal locations, and serve to form contrasting elevational features against the 'back cloth' of rendered masonry walls.
- A Sedum roof covering laid over the sculptural arrangement of flat / curved roofs which, in addition to its positive environmental properties, assists in rainwater attenuation, and, as on this particular site, serves to minimize the visual impact of roofs to properties located on the opposite side of King Edward Road
